NBA 2K20 Won't Start

On PC, if your copy of NBA 2K20 won’t launch, I’ve got some solutions.

1- Visual C++

Uninstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 and installing Visual C++ 2015 has been reported to have helped a number of players. In Windows 10, go to the Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find the Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable and uninstall it. After that, install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.

2- Update Your Audio Driver

There are some who say that after updating the sound card driver, the game runs smoothly. So you should update your Audio Driver. Such as Realtek High Definition Audio Driver.

3- Update Your GPU Driver

As with most games, needs to be up-to-date your graphics card driver to run NBA 2K20. You can download drivers for Nvidia from here. AMD from here.

4- Disable Your Antivirus

Some antivirus apps may interfere with the start of the game, so I recommend that you disable antivirus protection.

5- Update Your Windows Operating System

Updating Windows usually solves such problems. In Windows 10, go to the Windows Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Click “Check for updates”. After updates are installed, see if you still have issues when trying to launch NBA 2K20.

6- Verify Integrity of NBA 2K20 Files

If you have not tried, check the game’s files. The game files may be missing or corrupted. Go to the Steam Library > NBA 2K20 > Right-click > Properties > Local Files. Click “Verify Integrity of Game Files”.
